Michelle Welde Hardy is a Board-Certified Music Therapist with advanced level training in Neurologic Music Therapy and holds the designation of Fellow of the Unkefer Academy of NMT. She is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO where she is working on her master’s degree in Neurologic Music Therapy with autism as the focus of her thesis. Michelle is the director of Kris’ Camp, AZ (an intensive therapy camp for children with autism and their families) which she started in 2002 in Oak Creek Canyon, AZ and has worked at Kris’ Camp, CA since 1999. Prior to moving to Colorado, Michelle worked for Music Therapy Services of Arizona (MTSA) in Phoenix for 5 years with children and adults with neurologic impairments and developmental delays. Additionally, Michelle worked for 3 years in LaFourche Parish Schools in Louisiana where she provided music therapy within inclusion settings for elementary aged children with various disabilities. Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1995.
