about
Summit Music Therapy was started in Northern Colorado by Blythe LaGasse, MM, MT-BC, NMT.  Blythe moved to Lawrence, KS to pursue a doctorate in Music therapy, thereby moving SMTS to the plains!

SMTS is a company that provides neurologic music therapy treatment to children, adolescents, and adults who have various disabilities.  We service people in need of rehabilitation, learning, and behavior modification through a creative and motivating therapy.

Summit Music Therapy employs a scientifically validated approach to the use of music in therapy.  Services are based on data and treatment results, with the goal of generalizing abilities into the non-musical setting.  The Transformation Design Model (Thaut, 2001) is utilized to formulate therapeutic plans that meet the needs of each individual.
